That just means it’s gentle and only affects a portion, or a fraction of your skin. The Resurfx laser is precise and can target cells directly, providing a noticeable improvement to your skin with minimal discomfort and downtime. In fact, a series of ResurFx yields similar results as CO2 laser resurfacing.

How does it work?

Invented by global medical device leader Lumenis, the ResurFX laser resurfaces the skin while maximizing your comfort during treatment. The device helps the skin create new collagen without harming skin layers. When we stimulate collagen, the skin’s appearance appears tighter, more radiant and youthful. Since it is a non-ablative solution, recovery time is minimized.

What to expect during the procedure.

Your ResurFX treatment will be done in our medical spa. A topical numbing cream will be applied before the procedure begins to ensure your comfort. You may feel a warm or prickly sensation as the laser moves over your skin. A typical treatment should last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. After treatment, you may experience redness or swelling that will decrease after a few hours. You can apply makeup one day after treatment. We recommend you stay out of the sun for a few days and always apply sunscreen. You can resume regular daily activity on the same day.
